Position Summary:
The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Life Sciences Product Compliance teams by managing customer inquiries, coordinating regulated product assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role is pivotal in enabling our customers to meet global regulatory standards and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Inquiry Management:
- Coordinate and manage customer inquiries related to chemical compliance.
- Review and analyze chemical product compliance against established criteria.
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to customer End Use Declarations.
Regulated Orders Management:
- Manage regulated orders efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform ERP system updates and data management to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Regulatory Compliance Coordination:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of EU REACH regulation, GHS (Globally Harmonized System), OSHA standards, and other compliance processes.
- Coordinate REACH registration and Poison Center Notification documentation.
- Ensure the organization’s products adhere to global regulatory standards, including EU and international regulations.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with customer service teams to address compliance-related inquiries.
- Work closely with fellow team members to ensure smooth coordination of compliance activities.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, maintaining professionalism and clarity in both verbal and written communication.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a natural science or chemistry or equivalent experience in a scientific environment.
- 4 – 6 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs with relevant certification in Regulatory Affairs as an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Regulatory Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of EU REACH regulation, GHS, OSHA standards, and compliance processes.
- Proficiency in using regulatory submission software and data management systems.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through remote meetings.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm, professional, and positive under pressure.
- Ability to connect and engage effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization.
Organizational and Analytical Skills:
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure compliance with global regulations.
