The Centre of Bio-Medical Research (CBMR) Lucknow invites applications from exceptionally bright and motivated candidates for the position of 08 Research Associates. Applications should be sent in the prescribed format with supporting documents.

Age relaxation permissible to various categories as under:

❖ There will be no age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved seats.
❖ Horizontal reservation applicable as per UP Government rules.
Duration: RA will be tenable initially for a period of one year, which may be extendable up to two (02) more years based on yearly evaluation of his/her performance.
Stipend:
The fixed consolidated stipend of RA will be as follows:
- 1st Year: ₹47,000/- per month
- 2nd Year: ₹49,000/- per month
- 3rd Year: ₹54,000/- per month
Selection Procedure:
(a) Selection will be made through an interview whereby the assessment of academic record and published/project work is tested by a discipline-wise high-level expert committee.
(b) Merely fulfilling eligibility criteria may not entitle a candidate to being called for an interview. Candidates will be called for interviews after screening based on criteria adopted by CBMR, depending on the number of RAs available. CBMR reserves the right to call or not to call a candidate for an interview.
(c) The validity of the award letter shall be six months from the date mentioned in the award letter. No extension beyond six months will be considered. The decision of CBMR in matters of selection for interviews or for the award of RA etc. shall be final and binding on the candidate.
❖ Application format is available at the Centre’s website (https://cbmr.res.in/). Application duly completed on the prescribed form should be sent, with copies of proofs of educational/academic qualifications, experience, testimonials, research publications, etc., as indicated therein.
❖ Reservation:
Reservation rules will be applicable as per ‘The Public Services (Reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) Act, 1994’ and Government orders issued from time to time for the domicile of Uttar Pradesh. A certificate issued by a competent authority on the prescribed format of the Government of Uttar Pradesh is required for the claim of any reservation, i.e., SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD.
❖ Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Class, Dependents of Freedom Fighters, Persons with Disabilities, Ex-Servicemen, and women candidates who are not permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh shall not be given the benefit of reservation/age relaxation. Such candidates shall be treated as candidates of the General Category.
❖ In the case of women candidates, the caste certificate of a person is to be decided based on her birth in the said community as per UP government rules will only be treated as valid.

❖ A non-refundable application fee is to be paid only via net-banking/bank transfer to the Account Name: “Director, CBMR Lucknow” (payable at State Bank of India (IFSC code SBIN0007789, Account Number: 30054847814, Swift Code: SBININBB500), SGPGI, Lucknow, India). A copy of the payment receipt/document mentioning the UTR Number of the transaction should be sent along with a hard copy of the application. The candidate should write their name, mobile number, and email on the back of the payment receipt.
❖ Application format is available at the Centre’s website (https://cbmr.res.in/). Applications duly completed on the prescribed form should be sent, with copies of proofs of educational/academic qualifications, experience, testimonials, research publications, fee payment receipts, etc., as indicated therein.
❖ The Institute will not be responsible if the application of any candidate is rejected based on incomplete or faulty information filled.
❖ Applications should be sent only by speed post/registered post/courier. The envelope must be superscribed with the name of the position, Department, Post-Code with Advertisement Number, and addressed to the ‘Director, Centre of BioMedical Research (CBMR), SGPGIMS Campus, Raebareli Road, Lucknow-226014, Uttar Pradesh, INDIA.’
Applications by hand will not be entertained. If the last date of submission of the application is a holiday, the application will be accepted till 5:00 PM on the next working day.
❖ The number of posts indicated is provisional and subject to change without prior notice. Selections may not be held for all the advertised posts. The Director of the Centre reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason. All disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Lucknow bench of Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at Allahabad.
❖ Incomplete applications will not be considered and will be treated as disqualified.
❖ No TA/DA shall be admissible for attending the interview.
❖ Only matriculation/SSC certificates issued by the concerned educational board will be considered as proof of date of birth.
❖ Candidates must ensure before applying that they are eligible according to the criteria stipulated in the advertisement. If a candidate is found ineligible at any stage of the recruitment process, he/she will be disqualified, and their candidature will be canceled.
❖ Concealment of facts/information or submitting false information will disqualify the candidature at any stage of recruitment.
❖ The Centre reserves the right to revise/reschedule/cancel/suspend the recruitment process without assigning any reason. The decision of the Centre shall be final, and no appeal in this regard shall be entertained.
❖ Candidates are advised to visit the website regularly for information related to the recruitment process.
❖ Candidates will be intimated by email regarding the date of the interview. Original documents will be verified at the time of the interview.
