Qualification
PhD in Polymer Chemistry/Interfacial or Colloidal or Related Science with experience in encapsulation technology, preferably in home care/personal care/ industrial applications
Desired Experience
- 1-3 years industrial experience is desired, but not mandatory
- Experience as international post doc desirable but not mandatory
Skills/Knowledge in Encapsulation technology
- Hands-on experience in various encapsulation technologies with in-depth knowledge on application areas like homecare/personal care/industrial applications
- Basic understanding on process development knowledge to adapt to pilot and commercial scale.
- Basic knowledge on DOE
- Excellent team player with good communication skills
- High motivation, ambition, and reliability
- Creative personality, thinking outside of the box and strong problem-solving skills
Additional Skills
- Well acquainted with GLP, safety & compliance during small & medium scale (up to 1 Kg) reactions in laboratory
- Excellent English communications skills – written and verbal
- Consistently excellent academic record. Minimum first class from SSC onwards.
- Ability to efficiently work in teams, share knowledge and findings on relevant platforms and adapt to changes in project requirements
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Teams

Job Profile
Support Lab Unit – Design and perform encapsulation and formulation development studies of active ingredients for home care/personal care/coating applications defined by the Business Unit/Customer
Responsibilities
- Lab management – Prepare experimental plan, defining the tasks and reviewing the progress with functional responsibility
- Formulation and encapsulation development – Developing encapsulated and formulated product particularly emulsification of relevant industrial and consumer products, support in patent filing, piloting, and production
- R & D Project execution – Active member in R &D projects, Self diriven, Execution of technical workstreams assigned including communication and documentation of work results, Scouting and collaborating with industrial partner to meet project targets
- R & D Innovation – Scouting for new chemistries/technolgies, process, concepts, mapping out technology strategies, developing feasibility proposals within the frame of business unit strategy, contributing to corporate and BU sustainability targets
- Excellence in R & D – Advancing laboratory practice to increase efficiency & efficacy in R & D
