Job Title: Junior Research Fellow
Project funded by SERB Start-up Research Grant
Ref: IITPKD/2022/038/CHY/ROK
Project areas: Dispersion Controlled in Silico Catalyst Design for the Regio and Enantioselective Reactions.
Required skills: Experience with density functional theory (DFT) calculations is essential.
Eligibility:
- Candidates with M.Sc. in Chemistry/General Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Organic
Chemistry/Inorganic Chemistry/Chemical Science/Polymer Chemistry/Polymer
Science/Ed.chemistry are considered with a Cut-off marks of 60% for GEN/OBC, 54% for
OBC-NCL/EWS (with 10% relaxation), 40.2% for SC/ST/PwD (with 33% relaxation). - Candidates having integrated MSc from CFTI institutes with a CGPA cut-off of 8 for
GEN/OBC, 7.5 for OBC-NCL/EWS and 7.0 for SC/ST/PwD are also considered. - Candidates with above criteria require a valid GATE score [434 for GEN/OBC, 390 for
OBC-NCL/EWS (with 10% relaxation) and 291 for SC/ST/PwD (with 33% relaxation)].
Age: Candidates who are not exceeding 31 years of age, as on the closing date of
application, with relaxation to candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories and women applicants as per Government of India norms.Appointment duration: Initially for one year with the possibility of extension, depending on satisfactory performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

Salary Particulars: The monthly remuneration for this position will be Rs. 31,000/- (Thirty-one Thousand Rupees Only). Hostel accommodation may be provided at the institute based on availability on a chargeable basis. In case of non-availability of institute hostel, admissible HRA will be provided as per Government of India rules.
