Job Title: Scientist (35516)
Location: India – Maharashtra – Airoli
Eligbility Criteria & Experience:
- PhD in Chemistry with experience in polymer design, synthesis, and characterization
- Hands on experience in various polymerization methods and designing polymeric molecules for specific applications
- >12 month of international research experience
- Experience as post-doc desirable but not mandatory
- Excellent English communications skills – written and verbal
- Ability to efficiently work in teams, share knowledge and findings on relevant platforms and adapt to changes in project requirements
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Teams
Responsibilities
- Polymer design and synthesis including common polymerization techniques
- Team member in innovation project teams, responsible for technical workstreams assigned
- Lead structure discovery and optimization in innovation projects and feasibilities
Execution of planned experiments in laboratory, their documentation, and communication of work results - Literature & patent evaluation, support of patent filing and maintenance
- Close interaction with Application Development, Process Technology and Production and further functions
- Scouting for new chemistries, processes, concepts
- Scouting for new technology fields and mapping out technology strategies, particular focus will be on sustainability
- Advancing laboratory practice to increase efficiency and efficacy in R&D
