Job Title: Analytical Scientist (33614)
Location: India – Maharashtra – Airoli
Eligbility Criteria & Experience:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry with minimum 5 years of experience in handling & managing
- Analytical instruments and good technical knowledge of organic chemistry
- Should have hands-on experience within an R&D laboratory environment and GLPs
- Must have hands-on experience on HPLC Spectroscopy & GCMS Spectroscopy instruments
- Good understanding of thermal characterization instruments such as DTA, DSC, and TGA as well as polymer characterization using Gel permeation chromatography.
- Strong troubleshooting experience on the above-mentioned instruments
- Minimum 5 years of lab management experience
- Experience as a post-doc is desirable but not mandatory
- Several years of experience in the analytical area
- Adequate English language skills for oral and written communication; Interpersonal and communication skills, creative, open-minded, project management capabilities
Responsibilities
Essential Function 1: Deliver optimal and efficient
service- Manage assets properly and optimize/replace technical equipment by selective investments
- Ensure cost and service efficiency with respect to minimal pricing terms and process time
- Ensure coordination and development of lab work for the quality control and R&D analytics labs
Essential Function 2: Guarantee the state-of-the-art in analytics
- Explore, propose, and drive the implementation of new, effective technologies
- Initiate measures to introduce new business opportunities
- Provide inputs for the development documents (Validation / technical reports and patents etc)
Essential Function 3: People management
- Propose optimized staffing according to the individual skills and based on an efficient organization
- Guide, motivate, and develop employees always regarding the lab and team structure
- Ensure smooth management of faults and a strong suggestion system for improvements
Essential Function 4: Manage Quality and IT-Tools
- Provide an appropriate quality level for the customer needs on ISO, accreditation, GMP, and GLP basis
- Guarantee proper documentation of results and methods according to standards and requirements
- Dispose an optimized and widely automated data handling via LIMS, WINS, and specific business databases
Essential Function 5: Ensure appropriate external and internal communication
- Ensure optimal communication to customers and at the interface to other departments and functions
- Contribute to the internal and external communication with the established tools (CLAS intern, Technical sheets…)
