C-MET, Thrissur Lab, invites talented persons with research aptitude for the following posts in one of the scientific projects sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India. Check out all the details on the same below:
Job Title: Principal Project Associate
Duration of the Project: upto13 th January 2027.
Nature of Post: Temporary on Project-based.

Elibgility Criteria: Ph.D. in Chemistry/ Material Science / Physics or
equivalent with four years experience in R& D in industrial or academic/research
ch institutions in the field of 2D materials and devices, CVD, Lithography
techniques, Microscopy techniques, Electrical/Electronic characterization, Cleanroom facilities, etc.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on 28th February 2022
Salary: Rs.49000 /- plus HRA per month
Nature of Work:-
The general nature of duties includes but is not limited to the following:
Principal Project Associate
- The Principal Project Associate will have to support the Chief Investigators in
achieving the targets and deliverables of the project in a time-bound manner. - Â He/she will have to handle/manage internal projects/product developments within the
IICG project in association with collaborating institutes/industries. - Â He/she has to involve in the project planning and implementation, coordination
between other researchers/collaborators/industries, manage research staff working
with them, look after operation and maintenance of sophisticated equipment,
characterization and analysis of samples, etc.
General Terms and Conditions:
1. All the Posts are purely temporary and the appointment will be initially for a period of One Year and maybe extended upto the completion of the Project. However, the performance of the staff will be reviewed on completion of six months service to decide the suitability of further retention. If found not suitable for further retention she/he will be terminated without any notice.
2. On appointment, it will not confer any right on the appointee for a claim for regular
appointment.
3. Appointment of candidates is subject to verification of original documents.
4. Selected candidates will be required to produce a medical certificate of fitness in the
prescribed form, from a Government Doctor not below the rank of Civil Surgeon and
character certificates from two Gazetted Officers working in Central/State Government at the time of joining the post.
5. Selected candidate will be required to report for duty as mentioned in the offer (normally
within 10 days from the date of offer) and no extension will be given.
6. Selected candidates will be required to work till the completion of the project and resigning from the post during the currency of the project period shall not normally be entertained.

The last date of receipt of the application is 14th March 2022. Only those candidates who are screened by a Committee will be considered for an Interview, for the final selection. In case of the number of candidates are high, a written test may be conducted. The decisions of the Screening/Selection Committee are final and binding on all stakeholders.
