C-MET Chemistry Technical Consultants jobs, C-MET invites online applications for Technical Consultants /Research Scientists on a purely temporary & contractual basis for a period of 3 years for Pune, Hyderabad, and Thrissur Labs. The appointment may be extended/curtailed depending upon the status/duration of the project. However, the appointment will be initially for one year & extendable on the basis of the annual performance review. Check out all the details on the same below:
Job Title: Technical Consultant / Research Scientist
Monthly emoluments (Consolidated Salary): Rs 90,000/- pm
No.of posts: 17
Age: Not exceeding 40 years (Relaxable up to 45 years in case of exceptional candidates)
Qualification:
M.E. / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Physics / Chemistry / Material Sciences / Chemical
Engineering / Ceramics /Nano materials/Material Sciences Engineering / Electrical
Engineering / Metallurgy from a recognized University/ Research Institution.
Experience:
M.E./ M.Tech with minimum three years / Ph.D. with minimum one-year postqualification experience in the relevant field in R & D Laboratory / Universities in India
/ Abroad.
Desirable qualifications with one or more of the following:
(1) Novel Energy generation ( fuel cell, solar cell, thermoelectric)/ storage materials
(battery, supercapacitors, hydrogen)/devices / their
(2) Additive manufacturing: 3 D printing materials especially ceramics/metal/alloys and design of 3 printers with simulation including LTCC based materials and devices.
(3) Nanostructured materials, nanocomposites including 2D materials and devices.
Glasses/ photonics materials and devices
(4) Electro ceramic materials and devices including sensors and IOT, magnetic material meta-materials, Power Electronics & Control, Electronic circuit & system design and fabrication.
(5) Semiconductor single crystal growth, characterization & processing.
(6) Knowledge of Chemical and Physical Syntheses Process, Extractive Metallurgy
of Refractory Metals, Magnetic Materials, rare earth, Coating Processes for functional applications, High entropy alloys, and compounds with Simulation and Modelling,
(7) Novel and economical Techniques in e-waste recycling / Plant design and
scaling up operations, HAZOP studies.
(8) Knowledge in the purification of electronic materials through vacuum distillation/zone refining processes and their characterization
General Conditions:
1. The applicant must be a Citizen of India.
2. Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC (noncreamy layer) and Persons with
disabilities, as per orders of Govt. of India issued from time to time. A candidate
who claims to belong to any reserved category has to submit in support of his/her
claim a self-attested copy of the certificate in the prescribed form issued by the
competent authority specified by the central government. OBC (NCL) certificate issued should be within one year of the closing date of advertisement.
3. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates. The candidate should, therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experiences in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification. Such claims will only be considered if supported by valid documents. Completion of Ph.D. degree will be reckoned from the date of issue of provisional certificate/notification.
4. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall
be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum educational qualifications prescribed for that post. The period of experience rendered by a candidate on a part-time basis, daily wages, visiting/ guest faculty will not be counted while calculating the valid experience for shortlisting the candidates for interview. If any document/ certificate is furnished in a language other than Hindi or English, a transcript of the same duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or notary is to be submitted.
5. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and/ or experience etc.
will be calculated as on 10th February 2022.
6. Candidates having marks expressed in CGPA etc. must convert them into their
equivalent percentage of marks as per norms of the University/ Institute concerned.
7. C-MET reserves the right to revise/reschedule/cancel/suspend/ postpone/withdraw the recruitment process in respect of any one or more post(s) without assigning any reason thereof. The decision of C-MET shall be final and no appeal shall lie against such decision.
8. Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 800/- for General/OBC/EWS candidates and
Rs. 400/- for SC/ST/PwD/Women and other notified categories by the Government of
India should be paid:
a. The payment of the application will be made online only.
b. The payment will be received on the Science & Technology Park, Pune account on behalf of CMET, Pune.
c. Once the payment is made it will not be refunded.
d. Payment service charges, if any, shall be borne by the candidate.
e. C-MET is not responsible for any incomplete/ pending /failed/ multiple transactions of application fee payments. A copy of the receipt of payment may be attached along with the application.
9. Canvassing in any form and or / bringing in any influence, political or otherwise
will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
10. Candidates must ensure before applying that they are eligible according to the criteria stipulated in the advertisement. If the candidate is found ineligible at any stage of the recruitment process, he/she will be disqualified and his/her candidature will stand canceled. Hiding of information or submitting false information will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage of recruitment besides other action as deemed fit.
11.In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection, which may be detected at any stage, even after issuing an appointment letter, the C-MET reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the applicant.
12. All applicants must fulfill the minimum educational qualifications essentially
required for the position and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying for the post. No enquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained.
13. The decision of the Director-General, C-MET in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection and conduct of interview will be final and binding on the candidates and no inquiry or correspondence or representation will be entertained from any individual.
14. Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of
this advertisement and/or an application in response thereto can be instituted only in Pune and courts/tribunals/forums at Pune only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any such cause/dispute.
15. Before submitting the application form, the candidates should carefully ensure that
no relevant column of the application form is left blank; otherwise the application is
liable to be rejected. Applications which are not in conformity with the requirement indicated in the advertisement are liable to be rejected.
16. Only short-listed candidates will be called for an interview. Mere fulfilling of
requirement as laid down in the advertisement does not qualify a candidate to be
called for an interview. No correspondence or interim inquiries in this regard shall

17. If any information furnished in the application is found to be wrong or false, the
the candidate will not be allowed to participate further in the selection process
18. The selected persons shall be liable to work in any of the C-MET labs situated
in India.
19. The offer of appointment will be subject to verification of original certificates/testimonials and other pre-appointment formalities. If found otherwise, the candidature shall be rejected. NO REPRESENTATIONS WILL BE ENTERTAINED IN THIS REGARD.
20. Corrigendum/Amendments/changes, if any, in the advertisement shall be published only on C-MET website. Any inconsistency in the information advertised in the Newspaper and the Website, the information hosted in the Website will be treated as final.
21. The engagement is purely on a contract basis in respect of the above positions and confers no rights on the candidates, whatsoever, implicitly and/or explicitly for their continuation beyond the contract period or regularization in C-MET. Contract may be terminated by either side with one month notice or consolidated remuneration in lieu thereof.
