Description
Demonstrated capability as per:
1. Applies prior R&D experience and theoretical knowledge in the specialized area to quickly develop knowledge of state-of-the-art of a project through literature search, patent surveys, trade literature, reports, discussions internal within R&D, plant and marketing, vendors etc.
2. Achieves significant outcome by building experimental plan and executing multiple small projects of specific nature with minimal supervision; perform sound data analysis, draw inference.
3. Communicates and justifies plan and results. Highlights key findings and suggests course of future work. Arrives at recommendations and seeks agreement/support of project team. Gets support of executing members on action items of plant and scale-up trials. Carries out technical discussion on data and findings to help Identifying and resolving challenges.
4. Solves differing and diverse challenges of project elements by leveraging
domain knowledge and demonstrates grasp of underlying scientific/technological principles and exercising sound engineering judgment. Evaluates fit with organization / facilities.5. Exercises freedom to decide to select and carry out experiments / analysis as path to project elements and problem solving. Participates as a project member in multiple activities of projects like plant troubleshooting, hardware/plant/line suitability, scale-up trials, vendor assessment, cost-estimation,etc
6. Maintains critical equipment/instrument/pilot section as designated owner; reviews and approves SOPs for new equipment, processes
7. Participates/leads safety audits; Comply with SHE requirements;
8. Highlights opportunities for capability enhancement; procure and install relevant hardware
9. Participates in vendor trials, vendor audits, vendor/equipment/technology assessment
10. Develops knowledge and expertise in pulp & fiber processes, chemistries, equipment, technologies, etc. and assists in troubleshooting/root cause analysis.
