Eligibility: Ph.D. in Chemistry
Experience:
- Experience of development of new products using different encapsulation techniques, triggered release capsules and characterization of microcapsules
- Experience of working in international locations, leading cross-cultural teams is an added advantage.
- High achievement motivation, good interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite
- Preferred candidates from Specialty Chemical, Flavor and Fragrance companies and based in Mumbai
- Good academics – with first class in SSC, HSC, B.Sc. & M.Sc.
- Fluent in written & spoken English
- 4 to 5 years of experience or M.Sc. in Polymer chemistry or Physical chemistry with 7 to 10 years of experience.
R&D Project Execution:
- Responsible for technical project frame: objectives with BU or others, technical feasibility, patents
- Drive the project forward with creativity, endurance and collaborations to meet milestones and objectives
- Ensure hand-over of work results into receiving unit according to project agreements
Be creative in Research and Development:
- Search for new project opportunities and discuss within Competence Center and across
- Propose new projects or directions and think out-of-the-box
- Perform screening and evaluation studies in cooperation with sponsors from Business/R&D
Knowledge Management:
- Advance the field of competence with literature and internal & external contacts
- Share know-how actively to advance Clariant’s capabilities for problem-solving
- Assist in solving fundamental chemical production problems, customer claims and alike
- Documentation of results for knowledge sharing, retrieving and prevention of double work
People Management:
- Train and develop coworkers in the Laboratory in safety and good laboratory practices
- Define operational tasks in the Laboratory, set priorities and review the work progress regularly.
