In terms of Govt. of India, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Department of Pharmaceuticals letter No. 57011/1/2010 – NIPER (Vol.II), dated: 24th July, 2017, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hajipur (NIPER-HAJIPUR) invites application from Indian citizen for engagement of
following personnel on contract basis on consolidated pay initially for a period of one year subject to renewal on the basis of performance and mutual consent or till posts are sanctioned, whichever falls earlier

Position I

Job Title:  Assistant Professor (Pharmacoinformatics)

No. of Posts:  01

Age Limit: : 45 years as on last date of application.  

Qualifications: 

1. Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree M.S.(Pharm)/ M.Pharm/ M. Sc) in the appropriate branch having teaching/industrial/research experience with good academic record.
2. Post Ph.D. 5 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research.

Desirable : Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of comparative genomics, transcriptomics, immunoinformatics, molecular modeling, drug metabolism and toxicocity, anti-diabetic drug design, chemoinformatics, Bioinformatics, Pharmacoinformatics, Synthesis of PPARg agents, IPR etc. shall be preferred.


Position II

Job Title:  Assistant Professor (Pharmacology and Toxicology)

No. of Posts:  01

Age Limit: : 45 years as on last date of application.  

Qualifications: 

1. Ph.D with 1st Class or equivalent in Pharmaceutical sciences at the preceding degree
(MS Pharm/ M Pharm/M Tech) in Pharmacology and Toxicology / Biotechnology with good
academic record throughout.
2. Post Ph.D. 5 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research.
3. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in In vitro and In vivo pharmacology mainly in the areas of cancer, diabetes, inflammation and in terms of guidance of Masters and Ph.D. students, strong record of publications in SCI indexed journals and conference, patents, laboratory / course development and / or other recognized relevant
professional activities such as principal investigator of major research papers.

Desirable : Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of Drug Metabolism , Pharmacological
Screening and Assays, CNS drug discovery and challenges, Neurotransmitters, Respiratory pharmacology, Autonomic, CVS, Blood, Renal and GI Pharmacology, Autacoids and Endocrine Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Regulatory Toxicology, Chemotherapy and Immunopharmacology, SDS PAGE, MTT and LDH assay etc. shall be preferred.

General Terms and Conditions: 

1. Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizen. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview.
2. The Director reserves the right to withdraw any or all posts so advertised at any time without assigning any reason. Till date posts are not sanctioned. Proposed requirements will be on purely temporary for intermittent period till posts are sanctioned by the Govt. of India.
3. The envelope containing the CV in the prescribed format along with supporting documents in support of age, caste certificate, qualifications and experiences, superscribing ‘Application for the post of …………………………………….’, whichever is applied should be clearly mentioned, must reach the office of the Director, NIPER-Hajipur, At – Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences (RMRIMS), Agamkuan, Patna – 800 007, Bihar by registered/ speed post till 06.04.2018 by 5:00 P.M. Delayed applications will not be considered, anyway.
4. Those interested candidates who have applied against its previous advertisements, dated: 20.11.2015, 05.12.2016 and 15.12.17 need not apply again, unless there is a variation (a new achievements like in the additional qualifications, publications, Research experience, projects etc).
5. On the recommendation of the selection committee, the competent authority may relax age limit/ experience/ qualification on recommendation of the Committee. Higher starting pay may be considered in case of extra meritorious candidate.
6. Maximum age is relaxable for Persons retired from a Technical Institution/ Central Universities/ Universities/ Research Institutions having experienced in the field, but within 62 years of age. Age will be reckoned as on last date for submission of the application.
7. The selection committee may also recommend considering placement in respective lower grade depending upon qualification and experience.
8. For Assistant Professor positions, if a candidate does not have minimum 5 years post doc experience, but have minimum of 3 + years may also be considered for position on ad-hoc basis.

10. The applicants serving in Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous organizations must send their application on the prescribed format along with relevant documents ‘Through proper channel’, failing which, the same will not be considered. However to save the time, candidate may send an advance copy and bring the NOC at the time of interview/test.
11. Incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (attested copies of degrees / certificates / marks sheets / experience certificates / Document certifying date of birth, reprint of important publications etc.) will be out-rightly rejected.
12. Canvassing in any form may lead to disqualification of candidature.
13. No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication will be entertained.
14. All appointments are purely temporary and contractual in nature and same is renewable depending upon performance and mutual consent. The candidate will have no right to claim for regularization of the post. All appointments are contractual in nature and on fixed pay.
15. Retired pensioners applying, must enclose a xerox copy of his / her PPO, last salary certificate/ Pay slip. Pension amount shall be deducted from the salary amount as per GOI rules.
16. No TA/ DA is admissible for attending the interview.
17. Age relaxations shall be permissible to reserved category candidates as per extant rules of the Government of India.
18. Moreover, guidelines relating to recruitment rules shall be followed as per NIPER Act, 1998 and as amended from time to time.
