Eligibility: PhD. in Organic Chemistry
Experience:
- experience in synthesis and characterization of organic molecules/ Surfactants/ Additives used in polymers is preferred (SSC, HSC, B.Sc. & M.Sc. first class).
- 2-5 years’ experience in industrial research & development work.
- Organic molecule synthesis; hands-on experience in organic reactions, development & execution of target molecule synthesis
- Research & process development in Surfactants, Additives used in polymer applications
- Acquainted with common synthetic and purification processes like e.g. distillation, recrystallization and chromatography.
- Knowledgeable with various analytical techniques & should able to interpret the data from the spectroscopy studies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a global and remote team environment
- Proven ability to communicate effectively using electronic communication tools and knowledge management tools. Proven record of documenting and publishing work
- Consistently excellent academic record. Minimum first class from SSC onwards.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple, complex deliverables that require effective teamwork & communications with stakeholders such as BU’s, technical marketing, procurement, and manufacturing/supply chain partners.
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Job Description:
- Synthesis of Surfactants/ Additives/intermediates used in polymer applications and its analysis, documentation of laboratory experiments.
- Support scale-up activities & transfer the technology to the production of newly developed products.
- Literature search on assigned projects, search for new project opportunities and propose new technology or directions with out-of-the-box thinking & discuss within the Research Center / Competence Center.
- Drive the project forward with creativity, endurance, and collaborations to meet milestones and objectives. Follow safe working practices in the laboratory; train & develop coworkers in safety and good laboratory practices
- Maintain lab documentation for internal & external audits
- Manage laboratory consumables and equipment.
