Project Title: Next-Generation graded SPEEK-SCNO proton exchange membranes: Pioneering and prototyping High-Performance Fuel Cells with High Precision and Long-Term Stability

Project requires continuous experimental work on graded SPEEK–SCNO membrane synthesis and optimization.

Involves extensive characterization and fuel cell testing for performance and durability.

Job Description

  • Requires modelling and simulation to understand transport and degradation.
  • Working for MEA fabrication, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Ensures timely, high-quality execution of project objectives.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification(s):

  • A Master’s Degree (M. Tech/ME/MS) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or closely related discipline or a degree equivalent with First Class/division or a minimum 60% marks or a minimum 6.5 CGPA.
  • OR A Bachelor Degree (B.Tech/BE/BS) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering/Technology or a degree equivalent to any of the above in relevant subject with First Class/division or a minimum 60% marks or a minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale.
  • OR An applicant must have a Master Degree (M.Sc/M.Tech/MS/M.Sc. Tech/ME) in Chemistry/Physics/Environmental Science an allied area or a degree equivalent to any of the above in relevant subject with First Class/division or a minimum 60% marks or a minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale.
  • A qualified GATE/NET/equivalent national examination record is preferable, but not mandatory.

Salary

  • Rs. 37000/- per month + HRA (for NET/GATE/equivalent examination qualified candidates)
  • Rs. 30000/- per month + HRA (for NET/GATE/equivalent examination qualified candidates)
  • Rs. 30000/- per month (for NET/GATE/equivalent examination not qualified candidates)
  • HRA: Rs. 7400/- (for NET/GATE/equivalent examination qualified candidates)

For the IIPE Project Associate I selection process, shortlisted candidates will be informed regarding the date and time of interview by the PI/CI. Mere possession of essential qualification doesn’t guarantee an invitation to the interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as per the requirement of the project. All candidates should make their own arrangements for their stay at Visakhapatnam, if required. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview. If felt, interview may be conducted in Online mode.

Eligible and interested candidates are requested to send the scan copy of filled application form with a copy of self-attested certificates to the Principal Investigator via e-mail with subject line “ANRF-PA-<Name of Candidate>” on or before application deadline, along with your NET/GATE/equivalent score card (if any). Refer Annexure-I (Terms and Conditions governing project staff) and Annexure-II (Terms and Conditions of Sponsoring Agency/Industry) before applying for the Position.

Additional Information

  • Scrutiny/Selection committee of IIPE Visakhapatnam reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short-listing of eligible candidates.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on merit and experience of the available candidates. Short-listed candidates will be notified for interview and decision of selection committee will be final.
  • The date and time of interview will be informed by email to candidates and hence a valid email ID should be provided by the candidate in the application.
  • Qualification should be from a recognised University. Mere fulfilling of essential qualification does not guarantee for interview call or selection.
  • Eligibility and age will be considered as on the last date of application.
  • Candidates should furnish original certificates at the time of interview & joining.
  • The post to be filled up only on purely temporary basis and is co-terminus with the project.
  • The engagement can be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice on either side. The recruited staff’s engagement can be terminated forthwith or before expiry of the notice period by making payment of a sum equivalent to one-month amount. However, recruited staff will not be permitted to surrender one-month amount in lieu of the period of notice of unexpired portion thereof and you will be required to serve the full period of notice.
  • The appointment against this post is temporary and the incumbent selected shall have no claim for terminal benefits / regular appointment under institute or contention of her/his in any other project.
  • Benefits of provident fund, CCA, TA/DA, Medical benefits etc. are not applicable.
  • No TA/DA shall be paid to attend interview or joining post and candidates should have make her/his own arrangement for stay for interview/joining.
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification and disciplinary action.
  • Selected candidates are required to take insurance to cover medical treatment for self and accident insurance for self. This insurance cover must be maintained by the candidates during the entire period of employment under the project, failing which salary will not be released.
