.Senior Project Associate
- Number of Posts: 02 (Two)
- Funding Agency: Private Agency
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science or related areas.
- Preference: Candidates having hands-on experience in the area of battery materials or similar energy materials, the use of analytical techniques and data analysis, and device testing will be preferred.
- Job Requirements: Develop, Test, and optimize materials for next-generation batteries.
- Tenure of the Appointment: For a period of 6 months, extendable for a further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
- Consolidated Emoluments per Month: Rs. 57,000 + 30% House Rent Allowance
- Upper Age Limit: Not more than 40 years. Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and/or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualifications and experience higher than advertised, with prior approval of the competent authority.
Project Assistant
- Number of Posts: 02 (Two)
- Funding Agency: Private Agency
- Minimum Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science OR B.E./B.Tech. in Materials Science / Chemical Engineering.
- Preference: Candidates who have done project work on energy materials and/or have post-M.Sc.-related hands-on experience will be preferred.
- Job Requirements: Develop, Test, and optimize energy materials for energy devices such as batteries and clean fuels.
- Tenure of the Appointment: For a period of 6 months, extendable for a further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
- Consolidated Emoluments per Month: Rs. 27,000/- + 30% House Rent Allowance
- Upper Age Limit: Not more than 32 years. Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and/or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualifications and experience higher than advertised, with prior approval of the competent authority.

General Information / Details About the Post:
- The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on termination of the project.
- The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in the Funding Agency or in IISER Pune.
- The appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency, particularly applicable to the said project.
- The prescribed date for determining the upper age limit, educational qualifications, or experience shall be the date of the walk-in interview.
- The prescribed educational qualification should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.
- The number of posts may vary depending on the requirements during the selection process.
- The experience requirement may be relaxed based on the cohort of applications received, with the prior approval of the competent authority.
- In case a selected candidate does not join or resigns after joining the post, waitlisted candidate(s) may be offered the position.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
- No interim inquiries/correspondence/communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.
- Bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
