Brief Job Overview
As a Scientist II at USP Hyderabad, you will design and develop cost-effective synthetic routes for APIs and impurities while producing high-quality reference standards. This is an exciting Scientist job where you’ll apply your expertise in organic chemistry, literature research, and analytical interpretation to deliver accurate results. You will also ensure strict compliance with QMS documentation and lab-safety standards while driving scientific innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct literature searches and plan synthetic routes for target molecules.
- Develop project proposals, cost estimates, and procure reagents.
- Perform chemical reactions from mg to multi-kg scale for API synthesis.
- Purify compounds via crystallization, column, or flash chromatography.
- Troubleshoot synthesis and purification challenges independently.
- Analyze data using IR, NMR, Mass, Elemental analysis, and HPLC.
- Prepare and maintain precise QMS documentation for all experiments.
- Ensure equipment calibration, perform periodic checks, and record logs.
- Adhere to GMP and lab-safety norms while managing lab operations.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and communicate progress.
