Chemistry Research Fellowship at JNCASR | Ramanujan Fellowship Nomination 2025
Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) invites applications for Ramanujan Fellowship nominations 2025 from Indian researchers with a strong track record in frontier areas of Chemistry. Selected fellows will receive administrative and R&D infrastructure support to pursue independent research, mentor graduate students, and contribute to teaching and outreach at the New Chemistry Unit (NCU), fostering innovative and high-impact scientific work.
Ramanujan Fellowship Nomination 2025 – JNCASR, New Chemistry Unit
The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), a premier research institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, invites applications from Indian nationals for the Ramanujan Fellowship nomination.
The fellowship provides necessary administrative and research and development (R&D) infrastructure support throughout the fellowship duration. Fellows are expected to run an independent research program, mentor Master’s and Ph.D. students, and contribute to teaching and outreach activities. JNCASR is not obligated to offer regular positions to the fellows.
Eligibility Criteria
- Ph.D. in relevant areas of Chemistry.
- At least two years of postdoctoral experience.
- Proven record of high-quality publications and strong academic credentials.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be initially screened by a panel of experts.
- Evaluation: Shortlisted candidates will present seminars and interact with Unit faculty.
- Final Nomination: The selected candidate will receive a host institution endorsement/sponsorship certificate, which will be submitted to the Ramanujan Fellowship.

- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Completed fellowship application with a detailed statement of future research program
- PDFs of the three most significant publications with brief statements of impact
- Statement of teaching interests and prior teaching experience
- Names and contact information of at least three referees
