Eligibility Criteria
Essential qualifications and experience (either option):
- Post-Graduate degree in Analytical/ Environmental Chemistry/ any branch of Chemical or equivalent sciences from a recognized university with at least five (5) years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field in a research lab.
- Ph.D. (awarded) in Analytical/ Environmental Chemistry/ any branch of Chemical or equivalent sciences from a recognized university with at least two (2) years’ of post-qualification experience in the relevant field in a research lab.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations & Instrumentation
- Contributes to the establishment and operationalization of the bioanalytical laboratory, including development and implementation of analytical workflows, laboratory processes, and documentation systems.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain LC-MS/MS and HPLC systems to ensure reliable analytical performance.
- Support instrument qualification, calibration, preventive maintenance, and performance verification of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure adherence to laboratory safety and good documentation practices.
- Provide routine supervision and technical guidance to junior analysts and laboratory staff.
- Oversee the maintenance of reference standards, reagent inventory, logbooks and lab notebooks.
Bioanalytical Method Development & Validation
- Prepare method development, validation, and analytical protocols for new projects after required literature search.
- Develop, optimize, and validate LC-MS/MS and HPLC methods for quantification of metabolites in biological matrices (e.g., plasma, serum, tissues).
- Generate analytical summaries, concentration datasets, and bioanalytical study reports in compliance with laboratory quality systems.

- Valid Identity proof, to be deposited with the mobile phone at the reception
How to Apply
- Walk in for the written test/skill test/interview at THSTI on 6 November 2026 at 9:00 am.
- Bring the latest CV/resume, one set of photocopy of documents along with originals, and a valid ID card.
- Mandatorily deposit the mobile phone along with valid Identity proof at the reception. It will be returned only on completion of the entire selection process.
Candidates coming after the time slot mentioned will not be entertained.
Additional Information
- These are short-term positions, and extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbents and tenure of the project for which they are selected. Those appointed will not have any claim for regularization of their employment.
- All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognized Board/University.
- The experience requirement shall be the experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications specified for the post.
- The date of Interview of the respective post will be the CRUCIAL DATE for determining eligibility with regard to age, experience, essential qualification etc.
- Age relaxations for direct recruits and departmental candidates include: five years for SC/ST candidates; three years for OBC candidates; for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), ten years (UR), 13 years (OBC) and 15 years (SC/ST); up to five years for Central Government servants as per Central Government instructions; and, for Ex-servicemen, service rendered in defense forces plus 3 years, provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months attested service.

- If many candidates appear for the walk-in interview, screening will be done to limit the number of candidates to those possessing higher/relevant qualification and experience.
- The number of vacancies may change subject to the actual requirement at the time of written test/skill test/interview.
