Eligibility for APPSC Lab Assistant Recruitment
Age: Minimum & Maximum Age will be reckoned as on 01 July 2026.
Educational Qualification: For this APPSC Lab Assistant vacancy, applicants must possess the requisite Educational Qualification as on the date of Detailed Notification. Must Possess a B.Sc. Degree with Chemistry from University of India Established or incorporated by or under a Central Provincial Act or a State Act or an Institutions recognised by the University Grants Commission.

Selection Process
- For the APPSC Lab Assistant job, the examination shall consist of a single-level examination only, and no Screening Test shall be conducted, irrespective of the number of applications received.
- The examination shall be conducted in online (CBRT) mode.
- In case the single-level examination is conducted in multiple sessions, the Commission will adopt a process of normalisation of marks, wherever considered necessary and applicable, in accordance with the methodology and procedure decided by the Commission.
Examination Scheme
Written Examination (Objective Type) (Degree Standard):
- Paper-1: General Studies & Mental Ability: 150 Marks, 150 Questions, 150 Minutes
- Paper-2: Subject: Chemistry: 150 Marks, 150 Questions, 150 Minutes
- Total: 300 Marks
Negative Marks: As per G.O.Ms. No.235, Finance (HR-I, Plg & Policy) Dept., Dt.06/12/2016, for each wrong answer will be penalized with 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question.
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): As per G.O.Ms.No.26, G.A. (Ser.B) Dept., dt: 24.02.2023
- Test Duration: 60 Minutes
- Maximum Marks: 100
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: SC/ST/PBD 30, B.C’s 35, O.C’s 40

Syllabus: The detailed Scheme and Syllabus for this Examination is annexed to the Notification. It covers Paper-I: General Studies and Mental Ability; Paper-II: Chemistry (Section-A: Inorganic Chemistry, Section-B: Organic Chemistry, Section-C: Physical Chemistry); and the Computer Proficiency Test (Part-A and Part-B).
