Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist with hands-on experience in taxonomy, DNA fingerprinting, HPLC, GC-MS, pollen analysis, tissue culture, and phytochemistry and Pharmacognosy. The ideal candidate will contribute to ongoing research projects focused on plant identification, genetic analysis, bioactive compound profiling, and laboratory-based innovation in botanical sciences and filed trial analysis of the various medicinal and aromatic plants having the higher bioactive compounds and standardized the method of analysis. He or she have the adequate knowledge and analysis techniques of medicinal plant research and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- For the Dabur Taxonomist Job, conduct morphological and molecular taxonomy of plant specimens and crude drugs.
- Perform DNA fingerprinting for genetic identification and diversity studies and project designs.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments including HPLC and GC-MS for phytochemical analysis with team and slenderized the population studies for the inter species variation and species and intra species diversity.
- Analyse pollen samples for quantitative and qualitative assessment and report preparation for the identification and total quantification as well Melissopalynology.
- Perform tissue culture techniques for plant propagation and genetic studies and developed the protocol and design the guidelines to the department.
- Collaborate with the phytochemistry lab to isolate and characterize plant-based compounds.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare scientific reports, and contribute to publications and patents.
- Follow all lab safety protocols and ensure quality control in experimental procedures.
- Managed the data and supported documents for the regulatory compliance.
- Support research and cultivation programmes through effective analysis tools.
Eligibility Criteria
- M.Sc./Ph.D. in Botany, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, M.Sc. in Phytochemistry, Chemistry, M. Pharma or related field.
Taxonomist R&D Skills
- Proficient in the use of HPLC, GC-MS, DNA extraction kits, PCR machines, and tissue culture facilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Spectroscopy and Chromatography
- Mass spectrometry. Analytical Tools RP-HPLC, Molecular docking.
- GC Mass. API Parameters etc.,
- TLC. Gel Doc. DNA quantification machine, PCR
- Plant Tissue Culture. Plant Anatomy
- Isolation techniques of the compounds of interest those have the medicinal value.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in research projects, academic publishing, or industry collaborations is preferred for the Dabur Taxonomist Job.
- Familiarity with data analysis software and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Good Knowledge of computer and data analysis skills, (Microsoft, Excel, Power Point, Web browsers, filed management Creating folder and organizing documents etc.
