Role Description
The Associate Chemist, working as a research and development chemist, will conduct various R&D activities related to product development, testing, qualification, troubleshooting, and process optimisation. The role requires collaboration with team members across different departments and maintaining open communication.
Responsibilities
- IWBS and DoE creation, executing assigned tasks and DoEs of core projects and performing other administrative tasks.
- Perform and execute assigned tasks and DoE towards project completion.
- Develop and modify product formulation.
- Testing and qualification of developed/existing products as per SOP.
- Collaborate with team members in a laboratory environment.
- Bring in innovative ideas and approaches to the work.
- Document ongoing tasks according to the prescribed format.
- Regularly communicate task completion progress to stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and initiate actions to maintain project activity.
- Maintain 5S and safety as per IMS and department guidelines.
- Participate actively in team building.
- Maintain confidentiality of projects and departmental information.
- Support customer processes, troubleshooting, and site visits.
Requirements
- MSc. in Organometallic Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Organic Chemistry.
- Experience in laboratory work, developing and testing formulations & products, and qualification.
- Good knowledge of chemistry.
- Project execution and DoE preparation.
- Creative, structured, and methodical work style.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- High energy, new ideas, and a strong sense of ownership.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in R&D with a focus on Chemistry.
