Job Description
The candidate will work on a Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India) funded Project on Green Aviation Fuel Production from Renewable Biomass (Agro-Residue) based Pyrolytic Bio Oil with LCA and TEA Studies, which will involve catalytic pyrolysis, pyrolysis product fractionation and conversion to JET Fuel range products. \r\nThe JRF will be required to work in pilot pyrolysis reactor and other high-pressure reactors. Initial Position for 2 years. Depending on performance can be extended.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct catalytic pyrolysis and analyse pyrolysis product fractionation.
- Work in pilot pyrolysis reactors and high-pressure reactors.
- Perform life cycle assessment (LCA) and techno-economic analysis (TEA) studies.
- Analyse pyrolysis products using various analytical techniques.
- Document research findings and prepare technical reports.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.
Eligibility
- Master’s degree (MSc/MTech/ME) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Energy Science and Technology.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in catalyst synthesis and biofuel conversion.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in analysing pyrolysis products.
Required Skills
- Experience in organic chemistry and catalyst synthesis.
- Knowledge of sustainable aviation fuel production.
- Familiarity with heterogeneous catalyst synthesis and thermochemical biomass conversion.
- Excellent technical writing skills in English.
- Ability to evaluate, analyse, and interpret results.
- Strong communication skills and team spirit.
- High motivation, integrity, and a hardworking attitude.
