Job Description
HEINEKEN is hiring for the position of Senior Chemist to support laboratory operations and quality assurance activities in beer manufacturing. The selected candidate will assist in testing and approving manufactured beer, conduct laboratory analysis of raw materials, water, air, carbon
dioxide, and beer samples, maintain laboratory records, support product development trials, and ensure compliance with ISO standards and safety procedures. This Chemist Job is an excellent opportunity for candidates pursuing Chemistry Jobs in the manufacturing sector.Responsibilities
- Assist in testing and approval of manufactured beer as per quality assurance objectives.
- Support the Laboratory Manager in day-to-day assignments, trials, and testing related to production and product modification.
- Undertake evaluation of alternative sources for raw materials under guidance from the quality and technology cell of UB.
- Maintain appropriate records of trials, test results, and retained samples.
- Follow technical manual procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9002 and ISO 14001.
- Adhere to safety procedures in line with the company’s HSE policy and maintain a hygienic laboratory environment.
- Assist in preparing reports and test certificates.
- Testing of raw materials, water, carbon dioxide, air, and beer at all stages and recording the flow of beer through a flow meter.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: B.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Chemistry
- Relevant experience in laboratory testing or quality assurance is preferred.
- Strong understanding of analytical chemistry and material testing techniques.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of chemistry and analytical skills.
- Material testing expertise.
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment related to testing of beer and associated adjuncts and water.
- Problem-solving capability.
- Understanding of ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 procedures.
