Call for the Position of Junior Research Fellow

Call Summary: Applications are invited from motivated candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a BITS Pilani sponsored Cross-Disciplinary Research Framework (CDRF) project under the joint supervision of Prof. Saurav Bhattacharya (Department of Chemistry) and Prof. Richa Singhal (Department of Chemical Engineering) at BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus.
- Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Project Title: Design of Inorganic and Organic Frameworks─based Hybrid Nanostructured Materials for High Performance Energy Storage Devices
- Place of Work: BITS Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus

- Project Duration: 2 Years (The selected candidate will be given the opportunity to register for the BITS Pilani PhD program, subject to the fulfillment of institute requirements)
Scope of Work:
- The JRF would be exposed to cutting edge research work, wherein he/she would be involved in the design and development of novel hybrid nanostructured materials based on Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) and subsequently in their utilization as catalysts for key electrochemical energy storage and conversion reactions.
Essential Qualifications:
- MSc. (Chemistry) or an equivalent degree or M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering or allied disciplines, with a minimum of 60% marks. The age of the candidate should not exceed 35 years as on the date of the interview.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Candidates with a background in synthetic Inorganic and/or Materials chemistry along with an experience in electrochemistry will be preferred. Qualification in any of the National Eligibility Tests, such as the CSIR–UGC NET (including lectureship) and/or GATE, is desirable.
Fellowship: INR 37,000/- per month (or as per the guidelines). Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability.
