Job Description:
The Post-Doctoral Fellow will contribute to the sponsored project titled “Application of Deep Learning Techniques for Robust Optimal Design of Integrated Water Networks towards Sustainable Water Management in Petroleum Refineries.” The position offers exposure to advanced computational modeling, AI-driven optimization, and sustainable water management challenges in industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply deep learning models for integrated water networks.
- Work on mathematical modeling and multi-objective optimization.
- Conduct large-scale optimization using NLP, MILP, and MINLP methods.
- Perform computational modeling of water networks with MATLAB and GAMS/CPLEX.
- Collaborate with project investigators and contribute to publications.
- Support project objectives aimed at achieving sustainable water management in petroleum refineries.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:

Ph.D. in Operations Research, Optimization, Applied Mathematics, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Expertise in mathematical modeling and multi-objective optimization.
- Experience with deep learning & AI techniques.
- Strong foundation in Nonlinear Programming (NLP) & Mixed-Integer Optimization (MILP/MINLP).
- Hands-on experience in computational modeling of water networks.
- Knowledge of industrial water management.
- Proficiency in MATLAB coding.
- Experience with optimization tools such as GAMS/CPLEX.
Fellowship:
₹58,000 per month.
