Essential Qualification for this IIT Jammu JRF vacancy:
- JRF: B.E./B.Tech in relevant disciplines with First Division at both the Graduate and Postgraduate levels with a valid GATE/CSIR-UGC NET. Alternatively, M.E./M.Tech or M.Sc in relevant fields with the same criteria.
- Research Associate (RA-II): Ph.D. in relevant disciplines or M.E./M.Tech with a minimum of 3 years of R&D/Research/Industrial experience and at least one SCI-indexed journal publication.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Candidates applying for the IIT Jammu JRF vacancy should possess any of the following:
- Option 1: B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Energy Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Nanotechnology, Production and Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Material Engineering, Plastic and Polymer Engineering, General Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other relevant discipline, with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels and a valid GATE/CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship)/National-level examination conducted by Central Government Departments, etc.

- Option 2: M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Energy Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Nanotechnology, Production and Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Material Engineering, Plastic and Polymer Engineering, General Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other relevant discipline, with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels.

Research Associate (RA-II)
For the RA-II position under IIT Jammu research jobs, candidates should possess:
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Energy Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Nanotechnology, Production and Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Material Engineering, Plastic and Polymer Engineering, General Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other relevant discipline, with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels from a reputed institution.
OR
- M.E./M.Tech. in one of the specified disciplines with a minimum of 3 years of R&D/Research/Industrial experience in a reputed institution/organization along with at least one SCI-indexed journal publication.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Sound knowledge of Polymer-Plasticizer Diffusion; Optical Interferometry; Interfacial Dynamics; Phase Separation technologies; Transport Phenomena.
- Experience in COMSOL, material characterization, and phase dynamics studies.
