Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and capable Research Associate / Senior Research Associate with hands-on experience in in vivo pharmacokinetics (PK). The successful candidate will support drug discovery programs through animal studies, data interpretation, and close collaboration with the DMPK and discovery teams.
You Get to Collaborate On
● Working closely with discovery scientists, disease area experts, and in vivo pharmacology teams to support drug discovery efforts
● Handling laboratory animals including rats, mice, guinea pigs, and rabbits for various studies
● Performing compound dose preparation and administration via multiple routes, including small animal surgeries (e.g., cannulations, CSF collection)
● Contributing to in vivo DMPK studies for NCEs using established animal models
● Generating, analyzing, compiling, and reporting pharmacokinetic data, including regular uploads into internal systems
● Conducting statistically supported data analysis using tools like WinNonlin, ensuring timely, accurate insights for informed decision-making
● Understanding and adhering to internal systems, processes, and compliance requirements
● Preparing, reviewing, and delivering scientific presentations for internal and external stakeholders
● Participating in cross-functional research activities, contributing innovative ideas and enhancing project outcomes
● Executing PK-PD studies in rodents (rats and mice) as part of translational research on novel therapeutic compounds
● Gaining exposure to world-class drug discovery scientists and training in people and communication skills
Qualifications & Skills
• M.Pharm, Msc, M.S. in Pharmacology or related field
• 2–4 years of hands-on research experience in an industrial or academic R&D setting
• Proficient in animal handling, dosing, surgical techniques, and sample processing
• Strong understanding of pharmacokinetics, physiology, and drug discovery workflows
• Experience in PK data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., WinNonlin)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• A growth mindset with curiosity, scientific integrity, and a team-first attitude
• Experience using electronic lab notebooks (ELN) is preferred
