Core Purpose of the Role:
The incumbent will leverage computational chemistry and molecular modeling techniques to address challenges in drug discovery
. They will align with the business needs of Syngene Discovery Services, providing effective solutions by implementing new applications and supporting existing scientific applications at Syngene.Role Accountabilities:
- Utilize computational modeling techniques to manage drug discovery projects.
- Apply deep understanding of molecular modeling techniques for designing and evaluating small molecules and biologics.
- Identify and resolve challenges where computational modeling can enhance the drug discovery process.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Mentor and develop a team by providing coaching, opportunities to enhance skills, and constructive feedback on performance and progress toward goals.
- Exhibit a result-oriented approach in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrate project and team leadership experience with strong communication skills for customer and stakeholder interactions.
- Exhibit excellent management skills, including goal-setting, priority definition, performance management, and organizing people and activities to achieve objectives.
Qualification:
- Ph.D. or postdoctoral experience in Computational Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related disciplines.
- More than 2 years of industrial experience in Computational Chemistry or Molecular Modeling.
- Proficiency with molecular modeling software packages.
- Proficiency in Python or other programming languages.
