Key Responsibilities
- Synthesis, purification, and characterization of novel chemical compounds
- Deliver small to large quantities of novel chemical entities for drug discovery
- Collaborate within a team to advance chemistry projects
- Ensure safe conduct of chemical reactions
- Possess excellent knowledge in basic and advanced organic chemistry
- Proficient in functional group conversion and multi-step synthesis
- Basic knowledge of retrosynthetic analysis (desirable)
- Expertise in handling pyrophoric reactions
- Proficient in TLC, column purification, and extraction techniques
- Skilled in analyzing NMR, IR, and Mass Spectrometry data
- Consistently adhere to safe laboratory practices
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for working in a dynamic research environment
- Willing to go the extra mile when project challenges increase
- Competent in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), structure drawing (ChemDraw/ISIS), and recording in an electronic lab notebook
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in literature search using Reaxys
Person Profile
Qualification:
- M.Sc in Organic Chemistry or related field / M. Pharma
Experience:
- 1-5 years of industry experience with a leading CRO organization
