Job Summary

To plan and execute product developmental activities, ensure proper documentation, and follow procedures according to Apotex Research Pvt. Ltd. requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature surveys and compile scientific findings for allocated projects.
  • Plan and perform pre-formulation studies and innovator product characterization.
  • Plan, procure, and execute product development activities for assigned dosage forms.
  • Submit samples to the analytical team for evaluation and coordinate timely data collection.
  • Prepare study protocols, reports, and compile analytical data.
  • Support and monitor studies executed in external labs.
  • Conduct formula and process optimization studies for allocated projects as a team player.
  • Prepare stability protocols as per regulatory guidelines, execute studies, and compile results.
  • Execute tech-transfer, and monitor scale-up/exhibit/process validation batches at the plant.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal service engineers for installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Support documentation of development reports and continuous improvement procedures.
  • Prepare and assist in finalizing instrument/equipment operating procedures.
  • Perform daily/monthly calibrations of lab instruments and support internal audits/training.
  • Follow departmental SOPs to carry out product development activities.
  • Issue, maintain, write, review, check, and archive laboratory notebook data.
  • Raise PR for the procurement of API, raw materials, and packing materials for development batches and handle receipt.
  • Report daily activities to the next-level manager.
  • Undertake any other work as allotted per Department requirements.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics/Pharma/B. Tech

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in handling liquid, injectable, and ophthalmic dosage forms is a must.
  • Effective command over verbal and written communication with good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Knowledge in preparing SOPs, formats, protocols, reports, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and plan work activities effectively to meet timelines.
  • Knowledge of handling machinery/equipment related to parenteral dosage forms.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 to 6 years in injectable and ophthalmic formulation development.
