Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Scientist – Formulation specialized in Surfactants at Proklean Technologies in Chennai. The role involves developing formulations, conducting research on surfactants, evaluating product performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate sustainable solutions.
- Responsible for developing and testing formulations for textile/cleaning/cosmetics applications and coordinating with the application team in product establishment activities.
- Develop new biobased surfactant formulations for textile auxiliaries, cleaning products for home care & institutional applications, and cosmetics & personal care products.
- Conduct product optimization studies in the formulation lab.
- Plan daily experiments.
- Develop customized SOPs and testing parameters for bio-based applications developed.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to run troubleshooting experiments for market products and existing applications.
- Possess thorough knowledge and experience in handling lab testing equipment and analytical instruments.
- Be knowledgeable in surfactant chemistry & formulations.
- Have strong analytical skills, including titration, preparation of standard solutions, and standard calibration methods.
- Experience working in a surfactant-based formulation lab is essential.
Job Requirements:
A successful candidate will have:
- Qualification: M.Tech./M.Sc. in Chemical/Surfactant/Oleochemicals from a reputed institute or related degree.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience, specifically in R&D with a formulation or surfactant chemicals company.
- Thorough knowledge of surfactant chemistry & formulations.
- Experience handling various types of formulations.
- Thorough understanding and experience in handling various chemicals used in cleaning products.
- Experience in Lab to Plant Scale success.
