Job Title: Research Scientist: Environmental Sciences
Location: Vadodara, Gujarat, India
Eligibility Criteria:
Ph. D/M. Tech. in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering with research experience in effluent treatment processes.
Experience desired:
1–2-year experience in industrial wastewater treatment and in-depth understanding of cutting-edge technologies and advancements.
Additional information:
- Supervise and execute laboratory experiments pertaining to the environmental science research area such as microbiological testing, biodegradation, bioremediation, molecular analysis of plants and microbial fermentation.
- Hands-on experience and advanced understanding in cutting-edge water treatment technologies such as ion exchange resins, activated carbon, nano-chemistry/biotechnology, automation/artificial intelligence to attain zero liquid discharge (ZLD).
- Technical support in plant trouble shooting work.
Job Accountabilities
Assess and carry out multiple research programs in the area of environment science. Facilitate improvements in methodologies for industrial effluent treatment. Ensure completion of experiments and generate accurate and reproducible data from experiments.
Supervise and execute laboratory experiments pertaining to the environmental science research area such as physicochemical treatment for
industrial pollution abatement.Technical support to plant operations, collect data and conduct relevant analysis, uploading reports on portal and preparation of Internal Technical Report.
Skills & Competencies:
- Plan and conduct research programmes in Environmental Science and Industrial wastewater remediation.
- Project planning, design of experiments, scale-up and novel approaches for analysis
- Knowledge of Physico-chemical techniques for pollution abatement & advance wastewater treatment technologies
- Acquire mastery in Wastewater treatment, solid waste treatment in Petrochemicals and Refining Industry
- Knowledge about industrial environmental standards
- Mentoring subordinates and ensure knowledge sharing with team
- SOP preparation and conducting PHA & PSSR related to Environmental Science research area
- Review and finalize draft reports on projects and their application in environmental science
- Ensure accurate records as per SLP (standard laboratory practice)
- HSE procedures/ practices in the laboratory & pilot plant with respect to experiments in environment science.Assess and carry out multiple research programs in the area of environment science.
