Job Title: TM Analytical Laboratory

Department R&D

Level / Grade M1

Reporting To Sr. Manager – Material Development Laboratory

Reporters

Direct: Nil

Eligibility Criteria:

M. Sc. (Chemistry) / B. Tech in Rubber- Polymer Technology
Ph. D (Chemistry/Rubber technology)

Experience:

2-5 years of experience in analytical material development lab with expertise in NMR,SEM,AFM & GCMS equipment

KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Raw material Analysis

• Timely completion of all assign project and circulate report to CFT.
• Develop and validate new methods for advanced analytical equipment.
• Prepare SOP of new method / process developed

Benchmarking Analysis (Reverse Engineering)

To complete the reverse engineering project as per assign timeline.
To address customer complaint with in less than 48 hours.

Other activities

• To prepare & maintain control chart for instrument.
• To prepare & standardize laboratory regent, standard solution and maintain record of same.
• To maintain and adhere to calibration & PM schedule.
• To actively participate in new instrument installation and validation.
  Generate various analysis reports at different stages of projects. Prepare SOP’s, PFD, Work instruction and technical request for Laboratory; review and update them as per decided time plan.
• Maintain all the documents related laboratory as per standard practice.
• Maintain instrument spares and reagent inventory.
  Follow GLP practices.
• Capture knowledge/ learning regularly into the department’s Knowledge Management system and update the same.

Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary)

The person is responsible for performing and completing assign testing project as per timeline by adhering all safety standards, methods and SOP. The role is also responsible for developing and validating new method as per NABL standard.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Timely completion of assigned activities
Raw Material development support with advance analytical evaluation like
NMR,AFM, SEM-EDS, GCMS .

• Development of laboratory test methods to improve the efficiency & effectiveness of
• Reverse engineering and Raw Material evaluation
• Laboratory system improvement project with respect to environmental, safety compliance
• No. of system improvement projects completed for lab
  Prepare standard operating procedure for new test method or process.
• To enhance the 5s, safety (ISO 14001 & 18001), and laboratory practice standard.
