B.Sc. Chemistry with minimum 55% marks and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. Preference will be given to those who have some experience in the relevant field.

  1. What motivated you to apply for the position of Technician (Bio-Chemistry) at TMC, and why do you think you are the right candidate for the role?

Answer: As someone who has always been interested in the field of medical laboratory technology, I find this position at TMC very exciting. I have completed my B.Sc. in Chemistry with a score of 60%, and I have also completed a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. Additionally, I have completed a six-month internship in a diagnostic laboratory, where I gained hands-on experience in performing various tests and procedures related to biochemistry. I believe my educational background and work experience make me a good fit for this position.

2. What is your experience with laboratory equipment, and how comfortable are you working with them?

Answer: During my Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, I received extensive training in the use of laboratory equipment such as spectrophotometers, centrifuges, and pH meters. I am confident in my ability to operate and maintain these instruments, and I am comfortable working with them.

3. Could you describe the importance of accuracy and precision in laboratory testing, and how would you ensure that your results are accurate?

Answer: Accuracy and precision are critical in laboratory testing because they determine the reliability and validity of the results. To ensure accuracy, I would follow strict protocols and procedures while conducting tests, and I would pay close attention to details such as sample size, sample handling, and timing. I would also perform quality control checks regularly to ensure that my results are consistent with expected values.

4. How would you handle a situation where you encountered unexpected results during laboratory testing?

Answer: In the event of unexpected results during laboratory testing, I would double-check my procedure to ensure that there were no errors. If the unexpected results persist, I would consult with my supervisor or other experienced colleagues to troubleshoot the issue. I would also document the problem and any steps taken to resolve it to ensure that the integrity of the results is maintained.

5. Could you describe a situation where you had to work under pressure to meet a deadline, and how did you manage to complete the task successfully?

Answer: During my internship, there was a high volume of samples that needed to be tested within a short period. To meet the deadline, I prioritized tasks, and I worked efficiently without compromising on accuracy or quality. I also communicated effectively with my colleagues to ensure that we were all on the same page, and we worked together to complete the testing within the deadline. The experience taught me the importance of time management and effective communication in achieving goals under pressure.
