Applications are invited from lndian nationals only for project position(s) as per the details given below for the consultancy/research project(s) under the Principal investigator (Name: Dr. Prateek Kumar Jha), Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
Project Title: Development of Biodegradable Intracameral Implants and Drug-Loaded Intraocular Lenses for Treatment of Open Angle Glaucoma

Project position(s) and number: JRF (01)
Qualifications: BTech/MTech degree in Chemical Engineering and qualified in GATE examination OR BPharm/MPharm degree and qualified in GPAT examination. Prior experimental research experience in the area of oral or ocular drug delivery is mandatory.
Emoluments: Rs.31,000 + HRA (as per norms, if hostel facility is not provided)
Duration: I year with provision for extension in subsequent years over the project duration based on progress.
Job description: Experimental studies ofdrug release through intraocular and therapeutic contact lenses. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply.
Candidates desiring to appear for the Interview should produce the following documents at the time ofinterview.
- Application in a plain paper with detailed CV including chronological discipline of degree/certificates obtained.
- Â Experience including research, industrial field and others.
- Â Self-attested copies of degree/certifi cate and experience certifi cate.
Candidate shall bring along with them the original degee(s)/certificate(s) and experience certificate(s) at the time of interview for verification. - Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience.
Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
Note: The selected candidate may get an opportunity for PhD admission.
