Job Title Research Executive I / II
Department Water Proofing
Reporting to Assistant Manager / Manager
Grade C/C2
Eligibility Criteria:
M.Sc / B.Tech. / M.Tech. in Paints or Polymer or Chemistry with 1-5 years of R & D experience
Previous Experience
At least 1 year of R&D experience in waterproofing and construction chemical materials and experience in the development of admixture polymer synthesis is preferred.
Functional Competencies
- Should be conversant with cementitious waterproofing products and construction chemicals like Admixture, IWC, Tile Adhesives, Mortars and Grouts, Crack filler, liquid applied waterproofing coatings, Epoxy/PU-based injection grouts, Membranes, etc. Basic knowledge of waterproofing and related product development, application and testing, and handling of instruments related to waterproofing and construction chemicals will be desirable.
Behavioral Competencies
Good communication skills- verbal and written; Analytical mindset; Fast learner; Team Player.
Additional Requirements
Should be ready to travel to plants/ OPCs/ sites on short notice
Business Responsibilties:Â
- Conducting literature survey and experimental planning for new product development
- Processing of batches and testing of the experimental designs as per the test protocol defined
- Conducting application/ product validation trials sites which can be located in different locations across India
- Testing and analysis of benchmark samples
- Evaluation of alternate RMs in the existing product formulation for suitability
- Support to plant w.r.t. standardization of the product at PEL/ OPC
- Maintaining appropriate and updated records of experiments in lab notebook & Optiva
- Data tabulation and interpretation, technical report preparation, and presentation at the review meetings
- Customer complaint handling and resolution
Job Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for the development of new products and modification of existing products in the waterproofing and construction chemicals range.
