Job Title: Assistant Manager (Chemical Synthesis)

Eligibility Criteria:Â
- Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry
- 2-4 years experience in the laboratory; experience in the development of generic products and process development
- Having precise basic skills/knowledge and the ability to apply with minimum supervision & coaching
- General laboratory experience (in R&D); 3 – 6 years in a technical field or chemical operations
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office and Outlook); SAP experience nice to have; good math skills, planning, and timely execution
Responsibilities
- Execute laboratory daily activities as per GLP & ESHA guidelines.
- Perform safe operations in the laboratory, equipment handling, reaction setups, etc
- Execute the set target goals of projects, implementation with proper planning and measures
- Develop technology solutions to deliver cost-effective products as per regional business requirement
- Deliver projects in agreed timeline with agreed cost, update management on regular basis for project status
- Plan R&D activities including the development of new products, process development, and improvements
- Participate in cost reduction projects, provide recommendations, and implement effluent reduction measures
- Interface with Analytical team for test results, derive conclusions to resolve the project related challenges
- Preparation of reports, data verification, and interpretation, transfer of technology, via process validation
- Support Head, ADL in lab management and preparation of reports/presentations/formats
- Participate in discussions, prepare of MOM, and follow up with stakeholders
- Ensure systems in place according to legal and ESHA requirements and Clariant guidelines
- Chemical storage in compliance with compatibility requirements
- Maintenance and proper disposal of expired chemicals
- Follow best practices and compliance with Global System Management (GSM)
- Prepare and Maintain Risk Assessment Data Sheets for lab equipment
