Govt NIBE Hiring Chemical Engineering JRF – Walk in Interview
Young and motivated candidates Indian citizens only are invited for Walk-in
Interview for four Junior Research Fellows JRF in different projects. For all the projects, GATE-qualified candidates would be preferred. Intrested and eligible candidates may check out all the details on the same below:
For non GATE/NET candidates, the institute would carry out exam on the day of Walk-in-interview. The syllabus of the exam would be as per NIT Jalandhar guidelines

Project Title: Densification of Agro waste and assessment for its application in
gasifier (PI: Dr Nikhil Gakkhar/ Co-PI: Dr Sachin Kumar)
Eligibility Criteria: B.Tech. in Chemical or related subject or Masters in allied subjects. GATE Qualified*
Age Limit:
The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years, which is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes, Women, Physically Handicapped, and OBC applicants as per Govt. of India rules & regulations.
STIPEND/ Fellowship Amount
The amount of fellowship will be as per DST norms (adopted by MNRE), which will be Rs
31,000 per month + HRA
Selection process: On the date of
the walk-in interview, the candidates should report at 12:00 PM with sufficient copies of the latest CV and relevant documents. The candidates will have to submit the application form along with two recent passport-size photographs and self-attested copies of their mark sheets/degrees, caste certificates, NOC, declaration, etc.The interview of GATE/NET-qualified eligible candidates will be conducted by the selection
committee. In the case of a large number of students, the interview may be postponed
until the next day, so applicants are advised to prepare accordingly. In case the candidate is found ineligible, his/her candidature shall be summarily rejected. Therefore, candidates are advised to carefully satisfy themselves regarding their meeting of minimum eligibility qualification/conditions before appearing for the interview
All applicants have to provide (mandatory) e-mail ID for future correspondence/ reference
and all further communications will be made to the applicants through email/ NIBE website
only. Therefore, the applicants are advised to check their email and visit the NIBE website
from time to time.
NIBE will not take responsibility for non-receipt of intimation regarding call letter / any
communication due to technical reasons or whatsoever to the candidates. Applicants
applying for multiple positions are required to submit separate application forms.
*For non GATE/NET candidates, the exam would be carried out at 1 PM with a duration of 1
hr. The shortlisted candidates would be eligible for interviews.
Travel Allowance: No travel allowance will be payable for participating in the Interview
Projects Duration: The project will be reviewed periodically by the sponsoring agency and
initial appointment for the fellows will be for 1 year.
