Project Title: “Development Of Highly Accurate Immersed Interface Method For Direct Numerical Simulation Of Fluid-Structure Interaction Problems Under Compressible Flow Regime”.

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow

No.of posts: 01

Job Description: Writing, debugging, and execution of a 2D/3D parallel compressible Navier-Stokes Solver using Immersed Interface Method. Parallelization of the solver to be performed using under MPI framework using implicit compact schemes and explicit-implicit time-integration methods. The obtained results are to be validated and applied to various fluid-structure interaction problems. Post-processing of the results using numerical tools like FFT, POD, etc.

Tenure of Project: 3 Years

Essential Qualification: (a) PhD/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering,

(b) The candidate should have a valid GATE score.

Desirable Qualification:

(a) Having good knowledge of Fluid Dynamics, Compressible Flows and numerical methods for solving ODE/PDE. Basic knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is also desirable,

) The candidate should have good experience in coding physical problems using FORTRAN/ C/ C++/ PYTHON etc.

Fellowship: INR 31,000 p.m. for the first 24 months upgraded to 35,000 p.m. for the next 12 months.
