Job Title: Junior Research fellow
Project Title: “Prawn shell-derived natural protein-based highly efficient UV protection
coating for drug products”.
Duration: 01 year or up to the termination of the project, subject to annual performance
review. The candidate is encouraged to register for Ph.D. at NITK, Surathkal.

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No. of Positions/Vacancies: ONE
Eligibility Criteria:
M.Tech./M.E. in Chemical Engineering/ Polymer Science & Technology and allied areas with a minimum of 60% aggregate score (6.5/10
CGPA).
Candidate must
have qualified GATE examination (old gate score is also considered). Proofof M.Tech./ M.E has to be provided during the interview.
Age Limit:– Not more than 32 Years. Age relaxation for reserved category as per SERBDST, GoI norms.
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- pm (consolidated)

(3) Scanned copies of educational certificates and mark sheets (Class-X onwards)
(4) GATE qualified certificate and (5) Scanned copies of proof for research experience,
special achievements and publications, if any.
Important Note:
1. The soft copies of the application form and required documents (pdf format) must be

2. Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email and called for an interview.
The position is available immediately.
3. The appointment will be on a purely temporary basis co-terminus with the project.
4. After completion of two years and satisfactory performance, the JRF can be upgraded
to SRF with the fellowship of Rs. 35,000/- per month after successful assessment by
the institution.
