Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior
Research Fellow (JRF) in a time-bound research project for a temporary period purely on a contractual basis as per the following details:

Design and synthesis of inhibitors of Mycobacterium tuberculosis sigma factor-RNAP protein-protein interaction as potential antimycobacterial agents
Principal Investigator: Dr. Sandeep Sundriyal
Project Tenure: 3 years
Job Description:
JRF will carry out the in-silico design (pharmacophore modeling/docking) of novel inhibitors of protein-protein interactions between M. tuberculosis sigma factors and RNA polymerase. The candidate will also synthesize, purify, and characterize, the designed inhibitors in the wet lab. He/she will also be responsible for compiling data for the annual progress reports and drafting manuscripts for the indexed journals, conferences, and patents.
Essential Qualification:
First-class Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/Natural products from a recognized University or equivalent + GATE/NET/GPAT qualified.
Fellowship:
Re 31,000/-(initially first two years) + Re 35,000 (subject to the favorable
assessment of the candidate as per the rules).
Registration for PhD.:
Selected candidates will be given the opportunity for a full-time PhD program at BITS
, Pilani as per the institute norms.How to Apply:
