Skills / Qualifications
- Have a diploma/degree in chemistry with at least 1 to 3 years experience in a similar role
- Have the ability to work in teams under pressure and be flexible to work different working hours (night/day) shifts if required or necessary
- Good English communication skills along with good math skills
- Knowledge and experience of safe operation of testing equipment and operating in an independent chemistry/consultant laboratory
- Completely flexible to meet the requirements of the role already to work overtime /nightshifts as the workload dictates (inline with the UAE labour law)
Responsibilities
- Work unsupervised in the inorganic section analyzing water and construction material samples using instrumental and traditional techniques as appropriate
- Assist in Preparing the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) review, update, planning, and implementation according to the guidelines ISO 17025 protocols
- Assist in modifying the existing analytical SOPs as and when required and setting up new analytical methods
- Maintain quality records in the laboratory as per ISO 17025 and adhere to a comprehensive ISO 17025 quality system
- Efficiently utilize the LIMS systems
