Job Title: Shift Incharge – ECC & Safety
Eligibility Criteria:
B. E. (Safety & Fire Engg.) OR MSc (Chemistry) OR MSc (Environment) with Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety from recognized institute/university.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Safety / Fire / EHS department in Chemical industries. Candidates having experience in independently handling Emergency Control Center in shifts will be preferred.

Position Purpose
This position is responsible of handling ECC during shift duties and ensuring safety at the site.
Take Responsibilities:
- Manage Emergency Control Center in Shifts.
- Periodic inspection, maintenance & testing of Fire and Safety Equipment, Fire Hydrant System, Fire pumps, Fire extinguishers, Fire Tenders, ambulance, and other emergency handling equipment in the shift. Ensure that the “Safety and “Fire Fighting” system is always kept in fit condition as per the approved procedure. Ensure that the required spares and accessories are always available and accessible.
- Supervise Firemen in shifts. Plan and allocate shift activities and optimize use of resources at the workplace.
- Conduct Mock drill, Fire drill, and Plant level safety meetings.
- Near miss (unsafe Act & condition) and undesired event reporting. Take proactive corrective and preventive action to avoid the emergency
- Issue Work Permit as per Permit to Work Procedure for prevention of accident/incident.
- Incident Investigation with Root Cause Analysis.
- Impart Safety training to company and contract employees.
- Revise ISO / IMS documentation of Safety function.
- Encourage firemen to further enhance BBS program.
- To maintain the housekeeping at department and concern areas where firefighting equipment is installed.
- To plan & organize the campaigns, competitions, contests, and other activities, which will develop and maintain the interest of the workers in establishing and maintaining safe conditions at the workplace.
- To advise purchasing and stores departments in ensuring high quality and availability of personal protective equipment.
