Job Title: Quality Food Safety Specialist
Location: Thane, India
Education / Certifications: Graduate degree in Science / Pharmaceuticals with experience in any of Product Development / Quality Control / Quality Assurance / Microbiology

You will work with key partners to ensure that food safety requirements are accurately translated into raw material, process, and product specifications in a timely manner, provide basic food safety requirements advice to key stakeholders, and direct detailed technical questions to the Food Safety Team experts.

What you need to know about this position:
You will be a key individual contributor to the Pilot Plant team at Thane Technical Center.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of the Quality Management pillar at Thane pilot plant
USFDA nominated PCQI for Thane site – ensure implementation of preventive controls to ensure food defense at Thane site - Implement pilot plant quality and food safety training plan to increase in-house capability
- Maintain HACCP plans as per regular review cycle as part of a cross-functional team. Conduct HACCP training and audits as appropriate.
Ensure requirements for Food Safety, Sanitation and stability are built into new products during development or process changes by review of forms L and I. Work with corporate - Food Safety and product developers to find solutions that meet microbiological and product needs
- Implement controls as per the approved plan, and report deviations and failures in controls and support the Root Cause Analysis of the incident
Coordinate with external lab for microbiological testing of Finished goods, Ingredients, and utility samples. Perform sampling of environmental and utility samples. Review and verify microbiological reports of the external lab.
