Required Domain Expertise:
Graduate/Post-Graduate Engineer (Chemical Engineering) with 5-8 yrs experience on
Environmental assessments, eco-design, and life cycle analysis.
Experience: 5-8 years
Required Technical Expertise:
- Chemistry, material, or environmental science background
- Knowledge of Life Cycle principles and Analysis software such as GABi, Simapro etc
- Knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g. climate, waste) and energy calculations.
- Knowledge of & International Standards like SAE, ASTM, ISO, BS, etc.
- Exposure to Materials and Processes used in the aerospace industry.
- Technical Documentation (MS office tools, Project management tools, etc.).
- Strong Communication and liaising skills.
Job Description
Context:
Within the scope of the Materials & Processes (M&P) engineering for Environment, the job holder will contribute towards environmental topics in order to support the company in implementing environmental and eco-design measures on manufacturing activities and products.
Details:
The job holder will contribute to environmental topics such as Environment, Health, and safety assessment for various standard parts and specified items, life cycle analysis to support R&T road maps, liaising with different departments in Airbus, managing suppliers by analyzing & approving product maturity for all Airbus aircraft programs.
Job scope:
The detailed responsibilities will be:
- Performing Environment, Health, and Safety Assessments and Support substance analysis on Airbus products.
- Life cycle analysis of products and technologies (qualitative or quantitative)
- Make proposals and drive projects on eco-friendly products and technologies.
- Identifying high-value projects for the company’s key materials and processes and integrate environmental assessment.
- Support product certification against REACH and ROHS regulation bodies.
- Ensuring environmental communication on team achievements and awareness (company mindset change to increase environmental focus)
- Practice project management by providing weekly/monthly reports, schedule, risk
- mitigation & monitoring the qualification activities.
- Technical documentation related to environmental assessments and specifications.
- Actively participate and contribute to clean sky and other environmental initiatives driven by Airbus.
- Adhere to Airbus India procedures, processes, and ways of working and develop self as an M&P Engineer (Environment).
