Applications are invited for Two (02) temporary Positions of SRF. One (01) position under the project “Development of nano Sensor and its application through the cloud-based network for real-time irrigation to soil and plant” and One (01) position under the project ..Studies on Agrotain incorporated urea produces with N-INTEGRATION technology as an enhanced efficiency for use in major cropping systems in India”.

Job Title: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Project Title: Development of Nano Sensor and its application through the cloud-based network for real-time irrigation to soil and plant.

Number of Position One (01)

Eligibility: M. Sc. In Soil Science/ Soil Chemistry & Fertility/Soil Chemistry Agricultural Chemistry/Agricultural PhysicV Agronomy/Chemistry/ Environmental Science with/
years of Bachelor’s degree.

Candidates having post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree must have NET/GATE qualification.

Desirable:

Sound knowledge in laboratory analysis and field study, use of the sensor in field

Duration of Project: up to May 2024

Emoluments Rs. 3 I 000/- P.M. + HRA as admissible

• Age Limit for Senior Research Fellow is 35 years for men and 40 years for women (relaxation of age in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Government norms)’
• The engagement of the Senior Research Fellow (SRF) will be on a purely temporary basis. The appointment will be a co-terminus with the termination of the project. Other terms & conditions will be as per the guidelines for Senior Research Fellou’working in the lcAR Schemes.
•  -l-he Selected Candidates will have no right whatsoever for absorption/regularization in the Institute.
• The engagement on the position will be initially for a period of six months/on year or till
  the termination of the project. The extension will be given subject to the satisfactory performance of the work. only those candidates who are interested to serve up for al six months may apply.
• The selection of the candidates (s) doesn’t entail any right for absorption/regularization at IISS and/or any other sister concerns including ICAR Headquarters.
• the services of a selected candidate can be dispensed with even before the termination ofthe project without any notice il his/her seryices are no more required or his/her contribution is considered not up to the mark.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to the cancellation of candidature.
• The Director, IISS reserves the right to fix the criteria and shortlist the candidates for screening the applications for conducting the online test/interview.
