Education

• B. Tech. (Chemical Engineering) Or Masters /
• M. Sc. / M Tech Chemical Engineering with relevant experience.

Required Experience

1-4 years of experience, preferably in Food/Beverage R&D

Purpose & Context

Work on innovation/ renovation/ value improvement projects for both product and process development, technology transfer

Purpose of the job: Product development activities for strategic projects for FS India

Deliverables of the Role

Innovations:

• Appreciation of food ingredient function and chemistry and its use in a formulation.
  Creative ways for product innovations & cost-saving initiatives to deliver superior and consumer winning products OTIF
• Responsible for partnering with Innovation chef during formulation design work to generate prototypes. Driving projects on Dry Savory/Wet savory/dressings platforms
  Ensuring statutory regulatory & legal compliances for products & process
• Support in establishing appropriate technology for manufacturing products to specification at lab-scale and pilot-scale
• Support in creating specifications for the formulation, process, and quality and scale up to the factory.
• Conduct shelf-life studies to establish the shelf-life of new products and/or intervene through formulation/recipes to enhance shelf-life.
• Use appropriate measurement techniques (either existing or develop new techniques) to characterize key attributes of the product
• Appreciating and engaging with operators (chefs) constantly for insights and managing customer complaints.
• Assist in risk assessment for all innovation, renovation projects.
• Work closely with cross-functional (Brand, CMI, SC, CQA etc) teams
• Co-partner relevant functions within R&D – Pkg, CTi, Nutrition for driving innovation/renovation and VIP projects
• Tap into information in UFS global community and implement best practices

• Basic appreciation of PLM and FLOF framework
• Time management and efficiency in creating/quick adaptation to changes as per customer/stakeholder requirement
• Continuously look for / experiment with new technologies /recipes to develop products that offer tangible, new benefits to the consumer.
• Track moves by key competition & local players by carrying out competition benchmarking

• Basic appreciation of – Developing ideas, Experimental ability, Data analysis and interpretation, supplier/vendor interaction
