Applications are invited for one “Research Associate-III” position to work in an Indo-Russian DST project entitled “Design and Optimization of Biocompatible Optical Nanostructures for Biomedical Applications” under the supervision of Prof. Ramesh Chandra. The appointment will be made as per DST guidelines for the RA-III position, detail requirements are given below:
Job Title: Research Associate-III
Eligibility:
- Candidates must have Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching, and design & development experience after MSc/MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech in Chemistry/Chemical Synthetic & Process Technology/Nanotechnology or related areas, with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
- Candidate preferably should have experience in the field of Optical Nanostructures, Design, Synthesis and Biomedical
Applications.
Salary:
The candidate will be paid as per DST guidelines@54000+HRA 24% *. Service Conditions
DA: Research Associate will not be entitled to DA. House Rent Allowance (HRA)
Candidates may
be provided with hostel accommodation wherever available. Research fellowship holders residing in the hostel shall not be entitled to HRA. Wherever provision of hostel accommodation is not possible, HRA may be allowed, as per Central Government norms applicable in the city/location where they are working. The percentage required forcalculating HRA will be based on the fellowship amount.
Medical Benefits
The research associate will be entitled to the medical allowance as applicable in the University of Delhi.
Leave and other entitlements
Research Associates are entitled to leave as per the rules of the host institution. Participation of RA in scientific events/workshops held in India or abroad will be treated as “on duty” with the due approval of the host institution. The travel entitlement for RA for participation in scientific events/workshops held in India will continue to be the same as earlier i.e. 2nd AC by rail. Maternity leave as per the Govt. of India instructions issued from time to time would be available to female candidates in all categories.
Bonus & Leave Travel Concession
Research Associate will not be entitled to these allowances.
Age Limit:
The upper age limit for applying for the award of RA shall be 35 years. The upper age limit is relaxable, up to 5 years in the case of applicants belonging to scheduled castes/scheduled tribes/OBC, Physically handicapped, and women applicants.
Duration of Fellowship:
The candidate will be appointed initially for one year and after evaluation may be continued till the tenure of the project(two years). If the work report is not satisfactory, the fellowship may be terminated before time.
• Note: If a suitable candidate is not available for RA-III, then the position may be filled at pay levels of RA-I/II.
