Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a DST-Eureka Forbes, The Way Membrane sponsored research project titled -“ Water Filtration, Advanced-oxidation and Capacitive-deionisation Treatments for removal of Emerging Contaminants in Water, (Water-FACTs)” -F.No.DST/TMDEWO/WTI/2K19/EWFH/2019/386(C)
Job Title: One JRF/ Project Associate 1
Principal Investigator: Prof. Halan Prakash
Co-Principal Investigator: Dr. Kiran Vankayala
Broad area of Research: Water Research, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences interdisciplinary
Duration of the project: 2 year
Fellowship Amount (Rs.): 31000/- 8% HRA
Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science Chemical Sciences OR
Graduate/Post Graduate in Degree in Professional Course (Chemical Engineering, and (selected through a process described through any one of the following:-
1. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR –UGC NET including a lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
2. The Selection process through National level examinations conducted by central Government departments and
their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.How to Apply: Interested candidates may send application and curriculum vitae with details of research experience to the principal investigator (email: Prof. Halan Prakash, [email protected] ) by 16th Jan 2021. The project is a highly interdisciplinary work in collaboration with Eureka Forbes, The Way Membranes, and IIT Guwahati. PA/JRF is expected to travel and work on wastewater and drinking water treatment sites. Selected candidates will get a chance to apply for Ph.D. degree at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus (Rules of Ph.D. program for BITS Pilani are applicable).
