Applications are invited for the position of Scientific Officers (SO) to work in Nanotechnology Research Centre (NRC), SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, Chennai, India. Check out all the details on the same below:
Job Title: Scientific Officer
Eligibility: M.Sc/M.Tech/Ph.D in chemistry/Materials Science and Engineering/Nanoscience & Nanotechnology).
Hand-on-experience in any one of the following thin film growth techniques
(i) sputtering
(ii) pulsed laser deposition
(iii) e-beam/thermal evaporation
(iv) Electrospinning
(or)
Hands-on-experience in any one of the following characterization techniques
(i) Scanning electron microscope (SEM)
(ii) X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS)
(iii) Vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM)
(iv) X-ray diffractometer (XRD)
(v) Atomic force microscope (AFM)
(vi) UV-vis spectrometer
(vii) FTIR (vii)GCMS
Desirable: Several years of experience in operating the aforesaid techniques
Salary: Commensurate with experience and educational qualifications
Tenure: Initially for one year, will be extended for every year based on performance)
