Pay Scale Pay in Pay Matrix (Level 10)- (Rs.56100-177500/- as per 7th CPC). Total Emoluments Rs. 56100/- plus DA as admissible per month
Age Not exceeding 35 (thirty) years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)
A. EDUCATIONAL Master’s degree in Botany or Pharmacy (with Pharmacognosy as the main subject) of a recognized University or equivalent*.
*Note- There is no degree equivalent to an above mentioned degree.
B. EXPERIENCE Three years experience of
drug analysis involving use of modern scientific instruments.Note 1.-Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s) (i) Doctorate degree relevant to Botany or Pharmacy (with Pharmacognosy as the main subject) from recognized University or Institute.
(ii) Experience in analysis and standardization of Indian Medicine.
Duties A Nature of Duties of Scientific Officer (Pharmacognosy)
1. To carry out Pharmcognostic Testing/Analysis as well as the development of pharmacopoieal Standards of Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani drugs.
2. To assist the Director in work pertaining to PLIM, Ghaziabad.
3. Overall supervision of the Pharmacognosy section i.e. maintenance of museum and herbarium, authentication of drugs, supervision of garden and survey collection tours. Overall supervision of the Pharmacognosy section and to assist Director in day to day administration of the laboratory
Probation One year for direct recruits.
Head Quarter Pharmacopoeial Laboratory for Indian Medicine, Ghaziabad.
